LIZARD ROCK (BATBATAN ISLAND)

LIZARD ROCK PHOTOGRAPHS

LOCATION: SOUTHWEST OF BATBATAN ISLAND

DEPTH: ESTIMATED AT 22m

WATER TEMPERATURE: 32°C

AIR TEMPERATURE: 32°C

General Description:

This will be our first dive site to explore on Batbatan Island. It is very promising and many details are forthcoming. The site gets its name from a volcanic rock formation that looks like a large lizard from a distance. We made one trip to Batbatan. The first trip was to coordinate with the barangay officials our future visits to the island.

The site is accessible by boat only. It is a 45 minute ride from the end of Bay Bay Boulevard. It is not necessary to lay anchor in the area. The current is not strong and the bottom is visible from the surface.
